Orchard Park Elementary Celebrates Safe Kids Walk This Way

Today over 200 children from Orchard Park Elementary School in Kettering participated in International Walk to School Day and celebrated Safe Kids Walk This Way. City of Kettering and Kettering School Board dignitaries along with the PTO, Kettering Safety Section and FedEx volunteers greeted children with a Hawaiian leis, stickers and other goodies as they arrived at school. International Walk to School Day

Wednesday, October 7, is International Walk to School Day - a day to celebrate the importance of walking. Dayton Children's and Safe Kids Greater Dayton are supporting Safe Kids Walk This Way events - programs held in conjunction with International Walk to School Day, that focus on children being safe pedestrians. 

Safe Kids Greater Dayton and Dayton Children's are pleased to announce the following schools and organizations that will be participating in Safe Kids Walk This Way 2009:
  • Adventure Central, Dayton
  • Cleveland Neighborhood School Center, Dayton
  • Council on Rural Services Head Start, Troy
  • Edison PreK-8, Neighborhood School Center, Dayton
  • Fairview PreK-7, Neighborhood School Center, Dayton
