After DC

I had a lot of fun in DC!! I got to go on the Senate floor and put in votes for Congressman Turner and a couple of Congressmen and women. Mr. Turner also gave us his coin which is very nice. He was a joy to be around and I enjoyed his company. He even took me on a member's only balcony that had a gorgeous view of DC. It was amazing!! I was so astonished that he let me and my little sister do all that. It was a once in a lifetime opporitunity. Mr. Turner and Mr. Austria offered me and my family a private tour of the Capitol if we ever come back in town. So I am so glad I had this opporitunity. I wish I could've stayed longer but I experienced something that most people will never get to experience in their lifetime. So DC was amazing! So was the Star Spangled Evening. I enjoyed the caricatures the most and the digital photos of me with Michelle and Barack. Overall DC was amazing!!!

Getting ready for Congress

I learned a lot from the session but I also figured out what I am going to tell Congress. I am going to tell them that Children's is an amazing hospital and makes everything seemed personalized. It's staff is like family and I think every child should have that opporitunity. So I think Children's should be available to every child.

Exploring Washington DC

I just got back from an amazing day. We got to go to H&M my new favorite store and we walked to the White House. It was a lot of fun!!! Now I get to go to the Star-Spangled Evening which is an amazing party planned for us!!

After Tour

I just got back from the tour and it was astonishing. I never knew how beautiful DC is. I got to go in the national museum and I went to see many exhibits. My favorite of them all was the first ladies' dresses from many years ago. They had great styles that I noticed are beginning to come back. I am about to go to lunch so I will blog later. Bye!!

Before DC

Right now i'm in the airport waiting for my airplane. I'm sitting in a wi-fi area with my sister Aliya and my friend Jessica. I'm very excited because I get to let the legislatures know how important it really is to support Dayton Children's and children's health care needs. I want to let them know how much of a difference Dayton Children's has made for me and I think I will do a great job because people say I am very well spoken so I believe I will be able to get my point across. Also I am not nervous to meet and talk to them because it's just ordinary people. They just so happen to have a lot of power. So I know I will be able to convey my point to them.
